Department of Management Science at Savitribai Phule Pune University, commonly called PUMBA, was founded in 1971. It was one of the first management institutes in India. The University Grants Commission (UGC) recognizes PUMBA University Pune, which has received A Grade accreditation from the National Council of Assessment and Accreditation (NAAC). The University of Pune's Department of Management Sciences provides postgraduate and PhD programs to students. PUMBA's main course is the MBA.
