Established in 1854 during British rule, COEP Technological University (formerly College of Engineering Pune) is the third oldest engineering institution in Asia, following IIT Roorkee and College of Engineering, Guindy. With a legacy spanning 170 years, it began as the Poona Engineering Class and Mechanical School to train public works officers. Over the decades, COEP evolved into a premier engineering institute, launching civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering programs in the early 20th century. Today, it stands as a symbol of technical excellence and innovation in India.
