How DSE Commerce, DU selects its batch — step by step
- 01
After appearing for CAT, interested/eligible candidates check eligibility and apply through the Department's own online MBA admission portal (separate from the IIM CAT application), paying the application fee online.

The Department shortlists candidates for Group Discussion (GD) and/or Personal Interview (PI) based on their CAT percentile/score; the cut-off for shortlisting is decided by the Admission Committee for that cycle and released as a 'Shortlisted Candidates' PDF.
- 03
Shortlisted candidates attend Group Discussion and/or Personal Interview on the notified day-wise schedule; physical verification of original documents is conducted at the same time. Candidature is cancelled if eligibility/documents/rules are not met.

The Admission Committee prepares the Merit List based on the Composite Score (CAT score + Class X marks + Class XII marks + GD/PI/WAT component, with a women's augmentation where applicable) as laid out in the Admission Brochure.
