Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee is a premier institution of engineering and technology in India. The first engineering institution set up in India in 1847, IIT Roorkee has acquired a world-wide reputation of being among the foremost centres of excellence. In recognition of its distinguished record in imparting quality education, it was elevated to the position of the first autonomous University of Independent India in 1949. In the year 2001, it was rechristened as Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee. The Department of Management Studies has, over a short period, acquired and developed adequate infrastructure, expertise and resources to excel in imparting management education. The Department is housed in an exquisitely designed double storey building with four spacious lecture rooms, a large computer laboratory, a double storey library with 6100 books, syndicate and committee halls, auditorium with teaching aids and a large central atrium. An excellent departmental library and a state of the art computer laboratory augment the centralized resources available to students at the Institute level. The Department is Wi-Fi enabled.

How DoMS IIT Roorkee selects its batch — step by step
- 01
After the CAT result is declared, the registartion process gets started. Students need to fill the application form by visiting the IIT Roorkee's admission porta.

The first shortlisted list is prepared based on performance in CAT exam then the students are called for interview.
- 03
The PI invitation letters is e-mailed to the shortlisted students and also posted on the official website. The PI is held IIT Roorkee, Bengaluru, Greater Noida, Kolkata and Mumbai.

The final merit list is prepared by the management with the composite score which includes CAT performance, Interview and Work Experience.

The admission offers letter is released in rounds as per the seats.
