IIM Mumbai, earlier known as NITIE, was set up in 1963 by the Government of India. It is based in Mumbai and offers full-time MBA programs in General Management, Operations & Supply Chain, and Sustainability. The campus is surrounded by lakes and greenery, often called “God’s Own Campus” by students. The institute has regular interaction with companies and visiting faculty from international universities. It also runs student exchange programs with partner schools abroad. Under the guidance of Prof. Manoj K. Tiwari, IIM Mumbai supports national projects such as the PM Gati Shakti plan through teaching and research.

How IIM Mumbai selects its batch — step by step
- 01
Apply by visiting the IIM Mumbai academic portal once the CAT result is out.
- 02
One who meets both the sectional (VARC/DILR/QA) AND overall CAT percentile cut-offs for their category gets shortlisted for consideration in Stage II.
- 03
The students who are shortlisted have to attend a Personal Interview conducted by IIM Mumbai faculty/panel.
- 04
The offer letter is issued to the students in the online dashboard/portal and registered email. Students need to confirm acceptance and pay requisite fees within the stipulated deadline.

Stage I: Shortlisting based on CAT overall and sectional percentile cutoffs (category-wise)

Receive PI call letter (shortlist released ~January)
