Although IIT Delhi was established in 1961 but the Department of Management Studies (DMS) IIT Delhi was established in 1993. The DMS division has taken the legacy of IIT Delhi forward and has been one of the best Indian business schools through the years. Admission
How IIT Delhi selects its batch — step by step
- 01
Students meeting the minimum CAT percentile & eligibility register separately on the DMS/IIT Delhi admission portal.

DMS generates a weighted 'Shortlisting Index' using CAT score/percentile (highest weight), academic record (Class X, XII, Graduation), work experience, and gender diversity, to shortlist candidates for the next stage.

Some cycles include a WAT or GD along with the Personal Interview. The format is decided by DMS each year and informed to shortlisted students.

The selected students attend a Personal Interview conducted on the IIT Delhi campus or sometimes at another IIT centre such as IIT Madras for outstation students assessing academic background, work experience, motivation for the IIT Delhi MBA, general awareness, and managerial aptitude.

A final merit list is released for the selected students using the composite score.
