How IIT Kanpur selects its batch — step by step

Students have to register and submit application via IITK Pingala Portal after the declaration of CAT result.

The students are shortlisted for Group Discussion & Personal Interview (GD/PI)).

GD will be held for the selected students.

Students attend PI at designated centre.
- 05
The Final category-wise merit list gets released. The list is prepared for all category which is based on the aggregate score by adding individual scores of each student.

Offer of admission is sent via email to the students.
