CAT Result & Preliminary Screening
Students who opted for IIM Shillong in their CAT application are checked against the minimum sectional percentile requirement (VARC/DILR/QA) for their category

Composite Score Calculation (Phase 1)
Composite Score is computed as 65% weight to overall CAT percentile + 35% weight to Normalized Application Rating Score (NARS)

Discipline & Category-wise Shortlisting for Personal Interview (PI)
Candidates are grouped by academic discipline (6 categories, Annexure I of the official document) and by social category (EWS/ST/SC/OT)

Shortlist Announcement
Shortlisted candidates are intimated via the IIM Shillong website, registered email, and SMS. Shortlisted ones must fill online PI application form (Jan)

Personal Interview (PI) Process
Appear for Extempore and Personal Interview (PI) at designated centres (Feb–Mar). Each candidate is evaluated on Communication Proficiency and overall PI performance

Final merit list prepared based on CAT score, PI performance, gender diversity, and application rating

Declaration of Final Offer & Waitlist
